How to raise a suicide-bomber

In an earlier post, I talked about raising kids in a murder-suicide culture. I was examining the idea that there is a suicide-murder cultural pathology at work, indoctrinating children at an early age.

Taking pictures of babies and kids with guns may not be the most shocking thing in the world, but it doesn't end there.

I remember when this photo (to the right) made it into the mainstream press in the US, I think it was about 4 years ago. We were living in San Francisco back then. There were jokes about the new "baby boomers". Some Palestinians were claiming it was just a "joke", and that people were making way too big a deal out of it. The western liberals were all backing them up on this, saying it was just a joke, made out of the desperate despair of the Palestinian's situation; who were we to judge them for the "joke"? That would be racist; we obviously just didn't understand.

Well, what a load of BS. VERY disingenuous. At the same time this was being dismissed as a "joke" by the western media and liberals, many Palestinians were struggling to keep their kids alive, intercepting would be bombers before they killed themselves. They had little help from western MSM or liberals, in trying to protect these kids from the murder-suicide pathology that was sucking them in.

I don't know whether to call it a psycological pathology or a cult, but there may not be much difference, as pathological thinking and cults often go together.

To blow one's self up goes against human nature, against the survival instinct. It's hard to imagine people going along with it and thinking it's normal. But try to imagine a culture where your own child, or you as a child, were raised like this.

The babies are probably too young to remember being photographed with guns. But they no doubt grew up seeing the pictures, and understood that their parents want them to be militant. That by itself isn't really shocking. But what comes next?

I think I would cry too, if my parents kept dressing me up as a martyr with a bomb-vest. Clearly, the message is that wearing explosives and blowing yourself up to kill yourself and other people is a "good" thing to do.

Notice the pictures of the Martyrs; the ever present role models; people to be admired and emulated for what they did. These photos are not just at street events, but are often at in schools plastered right above the classroom chalkboards. The idea of martyrdom is pervasive.

Imagine if this was your mother or grandmother. Imagine if she told you it was wonderful to strap explosives to yourself and blow yourself to smithereens.

You have to wonder how many of these kids are doing this to please their families, but are inside thinking: "oh, sh*t..."

Here a Muslim mother lovingly helps her kid with it's... costume? I know a mother's love can be stiffling, but is it actually supposed to get you killed? How would you feel if YOUR parents dressed you up like this? I know that the kid could actually be thrilled; after all, EVERYBODY is doing it, and he/she will "fit in". But by making this acceptable, and even normal and admirable, what path is this kid being sent down on through life?

There are many kinds of bonds in life that tie people together. I doubt that suicide -murder needs to be one of them. If Hamas wishes to persue that course, then no one from the west ought to be funding them, and neither should anyone who claims to be a friend of the west.

...What is behind the suicide murders? Money, power and cold-blooded murderous incitement, nothing else. It has nothing to do with true fanatic religious beliefs. No Moslem preacher has ever blown himself up. No son of an Arab politician or religious leader has ever blown himself. No relative of anyone influential has done it. Wouldn't you expect some of the religious leaders to do it themselves, or to talk their sons into doing it, if this is truly a supreme act of religious fervor? Aren't they interested in the benefits of going to Heaven? Instead, they send outcast women, naive children, retarded people and young incited hotheads. They promise them the delights, mostly sexual, of the next world, and pay their families handsomely after the supreme act is performed and enough innocent people are dead...

Us ugly westernized infidels just can't get our minds around a culture that would do this. I always thought a maternal instinct to protect your children was universal...stupid me!

This kind of sickness is even going on here in the States-perhaps not as obvious as playing 'dress-up', but the de-sensitizing to violence begins at an early age. If I may, here's a quote from Laura Mansfield article about a mosque run summer "day-camp" just outside Atlanta, the children were being shown a video of car bombings and assaults... keep in mind these kids are only 5 or so yrs. old!-
"The kids quickly got the message that when something blew up, or an Israeli soldier was shot that they should shout Allah Akbar. I expressed my concern to Tiffani about children so young being exposed to such violent scenes. Tiffani/Amina assured me that the kids had been watching similar videos since they were two years old, and that they weren’t disturbed in the slightest by them."

You gotta read the whole thing!

Sorry to be so long winded and with my first comment, at that- but this topic always hits a nerve with me.

Yes, it's sad in many ways. I can't help but think if they redirected even half the engergy they put into hating and killing jews, into improving their own lives instead, they would have much better lives now.

The Israelies have turned a desert into a garden. They are in a position to help the Palestinians do the same, but why should they help people who are trying to murder them?

If Palestinians weren't so intent on killing jews, they would have their own Palestinian state by now. But they do this instead. Why? Because they can. Because hand-outs from the west make it possible to use their time for this sort of crap. Because political extremists are gaining power and making money from keeping the situation volitile. It's time for it to stop. No more funds. Shape up, or starve.

I think the "maternal instinct" has been brainwashed out of many of the mothers of these poor children. I agree, Chas. No more funds. Shape up or starve!

The pictures you posted almost make me physically sick. There was a time when they would have caused me to upchuck. It's scary. Does that mean I'm getting indoctrinated to seeing this stuff? Yep, it probably does. And that's the same thing that happens when a culture is brainwashed to train their kids to be suicide bombers. It's very scary, to say the least.

Excellent work here. Most troubling, but excellent nevertheless.

Chas, I got to thinking about this post, so I wrote about it and linked to you on My Republican Blog. You did a a truly good service with this.

Great post Chas, This is disturbing.
Logic must enter the picture at some point.
All of these pictures of guns do little more than offer a shock value to people that don't understand whats at stake.
I for one understand that the islamic believers don't shoot very well, and have, as a result took to blowing themselves up in crowds to promote terror.
I'm also of the firm belief that I can take out many more of the enemy if I'm alive to pull the trigger.
Muslim's get one shot in a market to kill their enemy (All of us) and might get 20 or so people. Militarily not an issue.
The Iraeli's are dealing with this remarkably, In America we have to deal with the enemy and the left way of thinking "Don't piss of the muslims"
My wife has always wanted to go to Israel, I have always said hell no. My mind is changing and we are now in the process of planning a trip.

I would love to live somewhere that the enemy is defined by their actions. not by their politics.

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

Gayle, thanks for the link. If you found the photos sickening, try reading the link that WTR posted:

THAT makes me sick... to think that sort of thing is happening here in this country... I could only read so much, I've had to book mark it for later, not the sort of thing I need to read before sleeping!

WTR, thanks for the link. I see she has published two books, and has a lot to say. Definitely worth exploring more.

Bushwack, why is the Missus so keen on going to Isreal? Just curious.

Great post.

Islam is the fermented result of one man being rejected many hundreds of years ago. Of course, I speak of Mohammed. Isn’t it ironic that Mohammed took his twisted “vision” from Judaism? Through force he advanced his concept of religion; establishing the doctrine for his followers to use today. Can you imagine the peace we would enjoy today if only Mohammed had followed Christ’s lead and said, “Satan, get thee behind me?”

The desensitizing of children does not surprise me in the least. Muslims purposefully do it in following their prophet. Why do we do it? I’m not talking about indoctrinating our children to become bomb murders; rather why do we sit idly by while video games and horror movies desensitize our children to aberrant bloody violence? It is yielding a group of people that will “accept” Islamic violence as a part of normal world occurrences rather than recognize it for the evil it is. How many liberals truly believe we are in WWIV?

At any rate, thanks for covering a topic that needs to see the light of day.
